What is climate change?

Climate change is the result of changes in Earth’s atmosphere (the layer of gas that surrounds Earth). The climate changes when the atmosphere is affected either by Earth’s natural features or by living things, for example humans. Climate change has strongly influenced the history of life on Earth.
